KATHMANDU: An aircraft of Fly Dubai, which was held in the skies of Kathmandu after catching fire in the aircraft, flew back to Dubai.
Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Sudan Kiranti, said that the aircraft has already left for Dubai.
“The aircraft of Fly Dubai is flying back to its destination, and no one should be worried,” he said on social media.
One of the engines of the aircraft that took off from Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) at 9:23 pm was seen to be catching fire.
After the aircraft caught fire, it was held in the sky for some time.
Meanwhile, according to FlyDubai, the aircraft FZ576 experienced a bird strike during takeoff from TIA, Kathmandu.
On the other hand, four planes of Air Arabia, Malaysian Air, Singapore Air, and Buddha Air were held in Nepal’s skies.
