Bara-2: Vote counting to begin soon



KATHMANDU: Vote counting of the by-election held in Bara-2 on Sunday is taking place soon.

The vote count which was supposed to begin last night could not take place due to the delay in all-party consensus, Chief Returning Officer Mukesh Upadhyay said.

The all-party meeting held on Monday morning has concluded.

Security arrangement has been tightened in the vote count site.

There was a 65 percent voter turnout in Bara-2 in the by-election.

A total of 34 candidates, including different political parties and independents were in the election race in the constituency.
