UML Chairman Oli out, NC leaders in at Baluwatar

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leaders have reached the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar immediately as soon as CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli made an exit after holding talks with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda.

According to Prime Minister Dahal’s secretariat, NC leaders including Vice President Khum Bahadur Khadka entered Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’s residence after Chairman Oli left after the discussion.

The Maoist Center chairman, who has been insisting on forming a national consensus on the presidential candidate, has reportedly reached a conclusion to support the NC candidate.

UML is unhappy that Maoist Center Chairman Dahal, who had agreed to give UML the presidency when he was appointed as the prime minister on December 25, has changed his bid.

The Maoist Center, CPN-United Socialists and Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) along with the NC have prepared to hold a joint meeting again on Friday at 5 pm to take a joint decision.
