No ministers can speak against federalism: PM Dahal

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has made it clear that no one will be allowed to sit in the Council of Ministers and speak against federalism and democratic republic. Addressing the National Assembly meeting on Tuesday, Prime Minister Dahal urged all ministers to abide by the spirit of the Constitution. He interpreted the speech against federalism and republic state as the violation of the Constitution and added that the government would seek clarification from the ministers if they undervalue such issues.

Earthquake measuring 5.9 magnitude hits Bajura

An earthquake measuring a 5.9 magnitude hit Bajura on Tuesday afternoon. According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center, the earthquake occurred at 2:43 pm in Bajura.

One killed in Bajura earthquake

A woman has died after being hit by a stone that fell upon her following the earthquake that took place in Bajura on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Jamuna Rokaya of Gaumul Rural Municipality-2.

PM Dahal and UML Chairman Oli hold talks

Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane has said that the Home Ministry will address the issues of crushers, absconding lawmaker, and agitating human rights activists within a couple of days.
