KATHMANDU: Representatives from twenty-five esteemed Canadian universities and colleges are set to participate in the second Edu Canada delegation to Kathmandu on November 27 and 28, 2023.

This delegation aims to present diverse educational opportunities in Canada, emphasizing courses, student experiences, accessibility, affordability, and career paths for potential students from Nepal.

During the visit, the participating institutions will engage with Nepalese students, education consultants, school/college principals, and influencers. The delegation provides a valuable platform to interact with Canadian educational representatives and the trade officer responsible for Canada-Nepal education partnerships.

Attendees will gain insights into studying and living in Canada, obtaining student visas, understanding the Canadian business environment, and exploring future prospects post-graduation.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the educational delegation, H.E. Cameron MacKay, Ambassador for Canada to Nepal, encouraged Nepalese students to explore the benefits of studying in Canada and the diverse opportunities it presents.

Key highlights of the delegation program include an EduCanada ‘Study in Canada’ seminar on November 27, open to students and parents from 12:30 to 5:00 PM at The Hyatt Place, Tahachal, Kathmandu. Additionally, seminars will be conducted during visits to schools and colleges in Kathmandu, along with education roundtables with consultants and meetings with government officials and academic institutions.

Canadian educational institutions, known for their global recognition, foster a culture of experiential learning, entrepreneurship, and cutting-edge research. Located in some of the most entrepreneurial and business-savvy cities globally, these institutions open doors to international firms across various sectors.

This initiative strives to strengthen Canada-Nepal educational ties and facilitate Nepalese students in exploring the rich educational landscape offered by Canadian universities and colleges.
