Bharatpur metropolis to observe ‘Visit Bharatpur 2024’

BHARATPUR: Bharatpur Metropolitan City is set to launch the ‘Visit Bharatpur 2024’ campaign, aimed at attracting both domestic and international tourists by showcasing Bharatpur as a premier tourism destination.

Deputy Mayor Chitra Sen Adhikari announced that the campaign is designed to designate the year 2024 as the “Visit Bharatpur Year.”

Emphasizing that Bharatpur Metropolitan City is the pioneer among local governments in initiating a ‘Visit Year,’ he stressed that this effort extends beyond the city itself, encompassing the entire country.

Minister of State for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Sushila Sripali Thakuri, commended the historic steps taken by the metropolis to promote tourism, recognizing the natural beauty of the region.

She noted the Ministry’s commitment to addressing legal obstacles hindering the protection and promotion of the tourism sector through comprehensive reviews.

Highlighting the appropriateness of launching the ‘Visit Bharatpur 2024’ campaign to showcase the tourism potential within the district’s shadows, Dhananjay Regmi, Chief Executive Officer of the Tourism Board, expressed the Board’s dedication to ensuring the campaign’s success.

In celebration of 2024 as the ‘Visit Bharatpur’ year, the Metropolis has planned a series of events, including an international safari mart, investment summit, heritage marathon, government and stakeholder meetings, jungle festival, youth and women conferences, literary programs, national and international seminars, sports competitions, exhibitions, and food festivals.

These activities aim to make the ‘Visit Bharatpur’ campaign a comprehensive and engaging experience for all participants.
