Inferno engulfs Kathmandu footwear factory, incurs over Rs 9.3 million in damages



KATHMANDU: A fire broke out in the shoe factory of Chokkumar Shrestha located in Chandragiri Municipality-11 Satungal, Kathmandu.

According to DSP Narayan Adhikari, the preliminary investigation has concluded that the fire caused heavy damage to the machine, chemicals, and footwear. He stated that the fire started due to a short circuit last night.

In another incident, the house of 45-year-old Indra Narayan Manandhar, a resident of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-7 Chabahil, suddenly caught fire due to a gas leak while cooking.
