NC’s central working committee meeting to resume today



KATHMANDU: The ongoing central working committee meeting of the Nepali Congress (NC) has been rescheduled to resume today.

The party’s central committee meeting that commenced on July 18 is likely to continue today, with the CWC engaging in intense debates concerning several key matters.

These include reviewing the outcomes of the general election held in November 2022, as well as the local polls.

Similarly, the party is conducting deliberations on its role in the Parliament and the government, as well as its position within the ruling coalition, among other significant topics.

Furthermore, the Nepali Congress is preparing to launch a nationwide campaign aimed at fortifying the party’s strength and influence across the country.

It is worth noting that the NC’s central committee comprises 168 members, and there are still pending nominations from party President Deuba for several central members.
