Okhaldhunga update: Four members of same family die in landslide



OKHALDHUNGA: Four members of the same family were killed in a landslide in Champadevi Rural Municipality-8 Bhilandu of Okhaldhunga.

Ward Chairman Khadga Baral said that four members of Rana Bahadur Gurung’s family died in the landslide.

Gurung, along with his 29-year-old wife Shivamaya Gurung and 18-month-old daughter Kabita Gurung were buried in the landslide at 11 o’clock last night.

The body of Gurung’s 10-year-old son, who was missing since Thursday night, has been recovered today morning.

A landslide washed away Gurung’s house last night. Baral said.

The landslide damaged the houses of Bal Bahadur Gurung and Jaharsingh Gurung.
