Three members of same family die in Okhaldhunga landslide



OKHALDHUNGA: Three members of the same family were killed in a landslide in Champadevi Rural Municipality-8 Bhilandu of Okhaldhunga.

Ward Chairman Khadga Baral said that three members of Rana Bahadur Gurung’s family died in the landslide.

Gurung, along with his 29-year-old wife Shivamaya Gurung and 18-month-old daughter Kabita Gurung were buried in the landslide at 11 o’clock last night.

Gurung’s 10-year-old son is missing.

A landslide washed away Gurung’s house last night. Baral said.

So far, the bodies of father, mother and daughter have been found.

The landslide damaged the houses of Bal Bahadur Gurung and Jaharsingh Gurung.
