UML will not engage in breaking 10-party alliance: Leader Pokharel

DANG: CPN-UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has said that his party has no plans to break the 10-party ruling coalition.

Speaking at a program in Dang Thursday, General Secretary Pokharel said that the UML has no immediate plans to break the coalition.

He also expressed his concerns about the increased instability caused by constantly focusing on forming and toppling the government.

General Secretary Pokharel said, “We have no intention of breaking the current 10-party alliance.”

He added that if the government works for the benefit of the country and its people, UML will extend its support to the government.

“We are not considering breaking the alliance with the aim of returning to the government,” he added.

General Secretary Pokharel also emphasized that the UML will constantly stand in opposition if the government engages in activities that compromise the country’s national independence by relying on foreign support rather than the will of the people.
