All-party meeting postponed due to UML Chair Oli’s absence

The all-party meeting convened by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has been rescheduled. The meeting was deferred as the leader of the main opposition party, CPN-UML chairman KP Oli, was absent due to reported ill health. The Prime Minister’s Secretariat confirmed the postponement, citing Oli’s non-attendance as the reason. Chairman Oli conveyed his inability to attend the session today due to a bout of fever.

House of Representatives meeting postponed till Wednesday

The scheduled House of Representatives meeting at 3 o’clock today was postponed. CPN-UML chief whip Padam Giri conveyed that the meeting has been rescheduled to Wednesday due to the Speaker and Prime Minister’s involvement in the swearing-in ceremony of Chief Justice Bishowambhar Prasad Shrestha.

Task Force prepares draft for high-level committee to probe gold smuggling

An initial outline for a high-level committee tasked with investigating gold smuggling case has been drafted. The formulation of the preliminary plan for the high-level investigative committee was undertaken by a task force composed of leaders from three major political parties today.
