SAFF U-16 and U-19 draws announced on Saturday



KATHMANDU: The draw for the 2023 SAFF U-16 Championship and SAFF U-19 has been announced.

The draw for the competition was completed on Saturday at BFF House in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

In SAFF U-16, Nepal is in Group A along with India and Bangladesh. Group B comprises Bhutan, Maldives, and Pakistan.

The tournament will be held in Bhutan’s capital, Thimphu, from September 1 to 10.

In SAFF U-19, Nepal is in Group A. Maldives and Pakistan are in this group. Group B has India, Bhutan and Bangladesh in it. This competition will be held in Kathmandu from September 21 to 30.

India won the U-20 and U-17 tournaments held in 2022. In the U-20 tournament, India defeated Bangladesh and in the U-17 tournament, India won the title by defeating Nepal.
