NC’s central working committee meeting to continue tomorrow

KATHMANDU: The ongoing central working committee meeting of the Nepali Congress (NC) has been rescheduled to resume on July 23, due to the extensive discussions over various critical issues the country’s oldest party is currently facing.

The party’s central committee meeting commenced on July 18 and will continue this Sunday, with the CWC engaging in intense debates concerning several key matters.

These include reviewing the outcomes of the general election held in November 2022, as well as the local polls.

Similarly, the party is conducting deliberations on its role in the Parliament and the government, as well as its position within the ruling coalition, among other significant topics.

Furthermore, the Nepali Congress is preparing to launch a nationwide campaign aimed at fortifying the party’s strength and influence across the country.

It is worth noting that the NC’s central committee comprises 168 members, and there are still pending nominations from party President Deuba for several central members.

Moreover, the appointment of a treasurer remains pending as of now.
