KATHMANDU: The first meeting of the Federal Parliament Joint Meeting and Joint Committee (Business Operation) Regulations, 2075 Amendment Drafting Committee has taken place at the Federal Parliament building in Naya Baneshwar today.

The first meeting of the Regulations Amendment Drafting Committee was held in the presence of Speaker of the House of Representatives Devraj Ghimire and National Assembly Chair Ganesh Prasad Timilsina.

Addressing the meeting, Speaker Ghimire believed that the Committee will carry out its works expeditiously recognizing the fact that the amendment to the Regulations has to be carried out at the earliest possible.

National Assembly Chair Timilsina urged the Committee to endorse the Regulations unanimously and in such a way that it would not have to be amended for long time.

A meeting of the National Assembly some days back approved a proposal on the formation of the Committee. The House of Representatives had endorsed the proposal.
