Unified Socialist Party holding Secretariat meeting

KATHMANDU: The Unified Socialist Party is holding a meeting of its Secretariat today afternoon.

Party Spokesperson Jagannath Khatiwada said that the meeting to be held at the party’s central office at Aloknagar will discuss current political issues including the election of the country’s President to be held on March 9.

The meeting comes at a time when Nepali Congress (NC) has claimed of reviving the five-party coalition that was formed before the November 20 general election.

It may be noted that the issue of electing a new President has become more complicated after CPN-UML has proposed Madhav Kumar Nepal, Chairman of Unified Socialist, as the President.
