KATHMANDU: The faction of the Nepali Congress (NC) led by party leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala held a meeting at Battisputali in Kathmandu on Sunday.
The gathering, attended by leaders of the Koirala camp, discussed the latest political developments to form a collective opinion among the leaders.
NC leader Gururaj Ghimire said that some leaders of the faction are dissatisfied with the NC’s decision to give the vote of confidence to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda.
The faction has been insisting that the NC should have remained as a strong opposition rather than giving the vote of confidence to Prime Minister Dahal.
The leaders have also alleged NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba for not discussing the issue with the disgruntled faction of the party.
Meanwhile, Nepali Congress is holding its central committee meeting from January 29 at the party office, Sanepa.
