Newly appointed Supreme Court Justices sworn in 



KATHMANDU: The recently-appointed Justices of the Supreme Court (SC) assumed their roles by taking the Oath of Office and Secrecy today.

Chief Justice Bishowambhar Prasad Shrestha administered the oath during a ceremony held at Sheetal Niwas this afternoon. The event was graced by the presence of President Ram Chandra Poudel.

The Judicial Council had previously proposed the names of Saranga Subedi, Abdul Ajij Musalman, Mahesh Sharma Poudel, Tek Prasad Dhungana, Sunil Pokharel, and Bal Krishna Dhala for these prestigious positions.

The nominations received endorsement from the Parliamentary Hearing Committee, paving the way for their official appointment to the Supreme Court.
