PM Dahal warns ministers of ‘action’ in absence of concrete plans

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ has instructed ministers to adopt a robust action plan, warning of “bold action” measures if they fail to do so.

Dissatisfied with the ministers’ performance a year into the government’s tenure, PM Dahal conveyed his stance during a party officials’ meeting.

According to Spokesperson Agni Prasad Sapkota, quoting the Prime Minister, “I have instructed everyone (ministers) to act decisively with a concrete plan. Failure to do so will prompt me to take a bold step.”

However, Sapkota clarified that there was no detailed discussion on cabinet reshuffle.

Sapkota said, “The government is approaching its one-year mark on December 26. On the 27th, the Prime Minister will present progress and future plans. The government’s performance is under scrutiny through various lenses.”

During the meeting, the Prime Minister Dahal also emphasized the need for radical changes in future policies, programs, and the budget to enhance the government’s effectiveness.

Furthermore, he announced plans to accelerate the anti-corruption campaign, expressing his intention to initiate new measures by opening a new chapter in the ongoing campaign.
