Collaboration among Asian countries stressed for averting economic crisis



KATHMANDU: Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Chairperson Chandra Prasad Dhakal has underlined the need to bolster cooperation and collaboration among the Asia-Pacific countries to avert the economic crisis facing the world.

Cooperation and collaboration among the nations of the Asia Pacific region is a must to address multi-dimensional challenges propping up in the globe, he stressed.

In his address to the Asian Employees Conference held in Japan’s capital, Tokyo, on Thursday, Dhakal said no big problems can be addressed without peace and stability so collaboration among the countries and actors is imperative for averting challenges, stated a press release issued by FNCCI.

Chair Dahakal further noted proper coordination and collaboration between the private sector and countries of the region can only address these challenges.

He also drew the attention of the countries to lay emphasis on integrating rapid digitalization and artificial intelligence in business operations.

Nepal has gradually improved its investment-friendly environment and has potential for investment, Chair Dhakal said Nepal’s geographic location lying between emerging economies, China and India, has opened up market potentials.

He further said Nepal’s hydropower, tourism and infrastructure development are gradually developing and have abundant opportunities for investment.
