Samajwadi Morcha plans meetings across all seven provinces

The Samajwadi Front (Socialist Front), a coalition of four parties including the Maoist Center, has made the decision to conduct a series of meetings across all seven provinces. During a meeting at the central office of the United Socialist Party (Aloknagar) this morning, the Front resolved to organize state-level message meetings starting from August 25.

UML to challenge Koshi CM Thapa in Court, citing constitutional concerns

The main opposition party, CPN-UML, is set to initiate legal proceedings once again against Uddhav Thapa, the Chief Minister of Koshi Province. Chief Minister Thapa secured a vote of confidence on Monday, thanks to the backing of Israel Mansuri, who presided over the provincial assembly. Nonetheless, the UML contends that obtaining a vote of confidence by incorporating the vote of the legislator presiding over the province assembly violates the constitution. In response, the party has announced its intention to seek legal recourse.

Koshi CM Thapa secures Vote of Confidence amidst legislative maneuvers

Uddhav Thapa, the Chief Minister of Koshi Province, emerged victorious in a crucial vote of confidence on Monday, propelled by the support of Israel Mansuri, the lawmaker presiding over the provincial assembly. Earlier, Deputy Speaker Sirjana Danuwar cited illness as she relinquished her authority to Mansuri for conducting the assembly session. In the chamber, 77 individuals were in attendance: 47 cast their votes in favor of Thapa, while 30 opposed him.

Lalita Niwas land grab case: CIB takes statements from former PMs Madhav Nepal and Baburam Bhattarai

The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the Nepal Police has documented statements from former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal concerning the Lalita Niwas land grab case. SSP Dinesh Acharya of the CIB has verified that the CIB recorded statements from former Prime Minister Nepal, who also holds the position of Chairman of the Unified Socialist Party, during the evening hours of the preceding day.

KMC to link unemployed people to jobs through Labour Bank
