One dies in snakebite in Dang

DANG: One person died due to a snake bite in Dang.

According to District Police Office Tulsipur, 50-year-old Dal Bahadur Gharti of Shantinagar Rural Municipality 3 Bastikhola, who was bitten by a snake on Thursday, died on Friday morning.

Gharti, who was bitten by a snake in his own home, died during treatment at Rapti Regional Hospital, Tulsipur.

Every year, people die from snakebites in most districts of the Terai during summer.

However, there are not enough hospitals to treat snakebites.
