NC’s central member Dr. Arzu says General Secretaries’ report resembles an NGO’s wishlist

KATHMANDU: Dr. Arju Rana, a central member of the Nepali Congress (NC), expressed her views on the report presented by General Secretaries Gagan Thapa and Bishwa Prakash Sharma during the party’s central committee meeting.

She likened the report to a ‘wishlist’ typically seen in NGO documents rather than a comprehensive political document.

Speaking at the ongoing central committee meeting on Friday, Dr. Arju, spouse of NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba, stated, “The report presented by the general secretaries resembles more of an NGO’s wishlist than a strategic plan to govern the country effectively.”

She pointed out that the report lacked a far-reaching impact and failed to address the party’s agenda-setting role.

Dr. Rana emphasized that as the Nepali Congress is a party responsible for shaping the nation’s direction, the report should align accordingly.
