73-year-old woman gang-raped in Dang, two arrested



DANG: A 73-year-old woman was gang-raped at midnight in Dang, Tulsipur.

The incident took place at midnight inside a parked bus (Na 4 Kha 7848) at Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City-5 on Thursday night, as reported by the police.

The victim, who hailed from Pyuthan, had traveled to Tulsipur for eye treatment.

Tragically, she fell victim to a gang-rape, leaving her in a vulnerable and traumatized state.

Fortunately, her ordeal came to the attention of a passer-by who heard her distressing screams and promptly informed the police.

In response to the report, the police acted swiftly and arrested the two suspects allegedly involved in the heinous act.

The arrested individuals have been identified as 30-year-old Pushkar Roka from Tulsipur-15 in Dang and 20-year-old Resham BK from Salyan-7.

The elderly woman’s suffering is further compounded by the fact that she was destitute during this incident, having no money for food or shelter.

Consequently, she found herself wandering in the bus park area at the time of the attack.

Authorities are currently investigating the case, aiming to ensure justice is served for the victim.
