Govt to operate express bus from Suryabinayak to Ratnapark



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Physical Infrastructures and Transport Management has informed that it would operate an express bus service from Suryabinayak of Bhaktapur to Ratnapark, Kathmandu.

The express bus service would begin from coming September 18.

The Ministry is launching the fast shuttle in view of slow public transportation that has caused sheer inconvenience to the passengers, according to Minister for Physical Infrastructures, Prakash Jwala.

The bus service on this route will be operated as the first phase of a new initiative, which would be expanded gradually.

The service will however be available from 9:00 am to 11:00 am and from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Secretary at the ministry, Keshav Sharma, informed that for this move, the government was planning to use some 25 buses of 40 seats capacity.

A separate lane would be allocated for the express bus. Moreover, the bus will be available in different sizes and colour.

As per the ministry, even an App will be developed to this regard. However, the fare for the express bus will be the same as other.
