KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metropolitan City has announced that it will provide employment to at least 5,000 people in a year.

Presenting the policy and programs of the Metropolis for the coming fiscal year, Mayor Balendra Sah (Balen) announced the plan to provide employment to at least five thousand people this year.

Similarly, he announced a policy and program aimed at exporting traditional beverages by branding them.

In the policy and program, Mayor Shah announced planting 100,000 trees in the coming financial year, paving all the roads, and building a pothole-free Kathmandu city.

Mayor Shah is presenting the policy and program at, Bhrikutimandap-based Rastriya Sabhagriha now.
