Aircraft about to takeoff from TIA returns back to parking way

KATHMANDU: An airplane of Saurya Airlines which was about to takeoff for Biratnagar from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) has returned to the parking-way after detection of a problem.

The aircraft returned after its indicator signaled a problem when the plane had reached near the runway for the take off.

The plane with flight number SAU 721 had reached near the runway after boarding the passengers when its indicator signaled a glitch, said Teknath Sitaula, the TIA spokesperson.

According to him, it is not clear what problem was seen in the airplane. The plane is presently kept at the parking-way itself.

TIA authorities have said the permission for flight would be issued only after the engineers of the Airlines examine the problem in the aircraft and inform them that the plane is fit for flying.
