Increasing strength of province is my loan goal: Chief Minister Adhikari

POKHARA: Chief Minister of Gandaki Province Khagaraj Adhikari has said that his only goal was to increase the strength of the province government.

The Chief Minister said he has urged the Prime Minister to formulate the laws on the issues of concurrent powers to make the province robust.

He added that the province government will be equal to the then district development committee and the existing district coordination committee if the province were not given powers.

Adhikari added that there are still issues in the adjustment of the civil servants.

Likewise, he promised to make the province prosperous by developing mega projects and expediting capital expenditure in partnership with the private sector.

Adhikari claimed that he was one of the few persons to voice against the Kaligandaki diversion and advocate for making the province government powerful.

He reiterated his voice against the proposed Kaligandaki diversion.
