Parties intensify discussion prior to Deputy Speaker election



KATHMANDU: Before the election of the Deputy Speaker, the political parties are engaged in discussions.

Political parties including CPN-Unified Socialist party, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Rastriya Swatantra Party among others have called there party meetings.

Speaker Devraj Ghimire called an all-party meeting of the parties represented in the House of Representatives.

The meeting continues in Parliament House, New Baneshwar Shankar Hall.

The election of the Deputy Speaker is being held today in the House of Representatives. Indira Rana Magar of RSP and Muktakumari Yadav of Nepali Congress are candidates for Deputy Speaker.

Magar entertains the support of the ruling coalition. Similarly, NC candidate Yadav is supported by parties not in the government.
