Authority restricts gathering of no more than 5 people from Padmodaya Mode to New Baneshwar

KATHMANDU: In response to the upcoming demonstration scheduled for November 23, the District Administration Office Kathmandu has issued a stringent order restricting gatherings to no more than 5 people in the area from Padmodaya Mode to New Baneswar.

The prohibited zone encompasses the stretch from the Padmodaya School of Putalisadak through the Supreme Court, Maitighar, to New Baneswar, and the ban is effective for a duration of 30 days from Monday.

Chief District Officer Jitendra Basnet stated in a notice that the restriction, aiming to maintain public order, will be enforced rigorously from November 20 for a period of 30 days.

During this period, any assembly or demonstration activities, including processions, sit-ins, hunger strikes, and meetings, will not be permitted in the specified area.

The decision to implement such strict measures is a preventive measure to ensure public safety and security during the specified period, as communicated by the District Administration Office Kathmandu.
