PM Dahal holding talks with major party leaders to end Parliament obstruction

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” is holding a discussion with leaders from prominent political parties to address the parliamentary impasse.

The discussion with these national parties is scheduled for today at noon at the Prime Minister’s Office in Singha Durbar.

According to Prime Minister’s press advisor, Govinda Acharya, PM Dahal aims to engage in dialogue with the foremost leaders of nationally recognized parties as part of an effort to overcome the current parliamentary obstruction.

In the preceding election, the CPN-UML, Nepali Congress, CPN-Maoist Center, Rastriya Swatantra Party, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Janata Samajwadi Party, and Janamat Party successfully met the criteria and achieved national party status.

The primary opposition party, CPN-UML, has been stalling parliamentary proceedings, urging the establishment of a high-level committee to investigate a case of gold smuggling.

Prime Minister Dahal has proactively taken steps to alleviate the impasse within the Parliament.
