Nepal bags 6-wicket victory against USA



KATHMANDU: Nepal defeated USA by 6 wickets in their second match under the ICC One Day World Cup Qualifying Cricket Tournament undergoing in Harare, Zimbabwe.

Nepal reached the target of 208 runs in 43 overs with the loss of 4 wickets. In Bhim, Sarki contributed an unbeaten 77 runs. He also completed the third half-century of his ODI career.

Bhim came to bat after losing Aasif Sheikh as the first wicket when the team scored 25 runs. Then he played a winning inning of 77 not out.

Similarly, Dipendra Singh Airee scored 39 not-out runs, Kushal Malla scored 39 runs.

Before that, America lost the toss and batted first at the Takasinga Sports Club in Zimbabwe and was bowled out for 207 runs in 49 overs.

Shayan Jahangir remained unbeaten in 100 runs by playing a century inning for America.

For Nepal, Karan KC took 4 wickets, Gulshan Jha 3, Dipendra Singh Airee 2, Lalit Rajbanshi 1 wicket.

Earlier, Nepal lost by 8 wickets against home team Zimbabwe in the first match.

With this victory, Nepal’s chances of reaching the Super Six have become stronger.
