World Music Day to be celebrated in Pokhara

POKHARA: World Music Day-2080 is going to be celebrated in Pokhara by organizing a musical program on June 21.

The World Music Day is celebrated on June 21 every year.

Eighteen organizations of Pokhara are participating in the musical program going to be organized on the occasion of World Music Day.

Saptarangi Cultural Academy is the main organizer of the musical program. Chairperson of the Academy, Nabaraj Baral, said the musical program is going to be organized to give continuity to World Music Day, which was not celebrated for the past five years.

The organizer expressed the belief that the program would help increase musical activities in Pokhara.

National and international artists would perform in the musical program where an arrangement of free entry to spectators has been made.

The program, which has 16 different performances, is going to be organized in collaboration with Gandaki Pragya Pratisthan and Pokhara Pragya Pratisthan.
