Thuli Bheri Bailey bridge incident: Two deceased identified



BHERI: Identities of two persons who died in the breakdown of a Bailey bridge being constructed over the Thuli Bheri River at Tallu, Nalgadh Municipality-12 in Jajarkot district have been ascertained.

The deceased have been identified as Prashant Rajkumar, 40, of Baharaich, India and Dharmendra Harijan Chamar, 30, of same place.

According to DSP at the District Police Office, Rukum (West), Namaraj Bhattarai, those injured in the incident were crane driver Niraj Kumar Chaudhary, 26, of Nawalparasi, Maiku Gautam, 50, and Gorakh Nath, 25, of Baharaich, India, Sanjaya Gautam, 25, Sonu Chamar, 19, Gopal Chamar, 49, and Rajkumar Harijan, 60.

Three critically injured were airlifted to Nepalgunj, Banke for further treatment, police said. Other four injured are undergoing treatment at a hospital based in Nalgad municipality-7, Dalli in Jajarkot.

The under-construction Bailey bridge linking Nalgad municipality-12 of Jajarkot and Aathbiskot municipality-4 of Rukum (West) broke down on Thursday.

The deceased and injured of the incident are said to be the workers engaged in the construction of the bridge.
