Finance Minister Mahat forms financial advisory team of experts



KATHMANDU: Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat has formed a team of experts to provide him with advice on chief financial issues.

The team comprises Dr. Bishwanath Paudel, Dr. Poshraj Pandey and Dr. Gunakar Bhatta.

Dr. Paudel is the former Vice-Chairman of the National Planning Commission.

He was a Nepali Congress candidate in Chitwan Constituency-1 in the election to the House of Representatives held on November 20 last year.

He was defeated by Hari Dhakal of the Rastriya Swatantra Party in the election.

Similarly, Dr. Pandey is an expert in international business affairs.

Likewise, Bhatta, who has worked as the Chief of the Economic Research Department of Nepal Rastra Bank, is currently working in the Bank and Financial Institutions Regulation Department.
