PM Dahal and Deuba to address election rally in Bara-1

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, among others are addressing an election rally in Mahagadhi of Bara Constituency-1 today.

Top leaders are scheduled to address the mass assembly in favor of Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Chairman Upendra Yadav, a common candidate of the ruling alliance.

Unified Socialist Party Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal, Chairman of Loktantrik Samajwadi Party Mahantha Thakur are also scheduled to address the rally today.

By-election is being held in Bara Constituency-1, Chitwan-2 and Tanahun-1 on April 23.

The Bara-2 is lying vacant after JSP’s Ramsahay Prasad Yadav, who was elected from Bara 2, was elected as the country’s Vice President.

Meanwhile, other candidates contesting from Bara-1 include Shivchandra Kushwaha from Janamat Party, Ramesh Kharel from Rastriya Swatantra Party, and Purushottam Poudel from CPN-UML.
