UML not to give vote of confidence to PM Dahal



KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML said it would not give the vote of confidence to Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda.

PM Dahal is seeking a vote of confidence from the House of Representatives today (Monday) afternoon.

The House of Representatives is meeting at 1 pm today.

UML parliamentary party Deputy Leader Subash Chandra Nemwang has said that his party would prefer to play the role of a responsible opposition rather than giving a vote of confidence to PM Dahal.

“We have already informed the Speaker and the Parliament Secretariat that we will play the role of a responsible opposition,” Nemwang said.

It should be noted that UML sat in the main opposition bench on Sunday’s House of Representatives meeting.
