CPN-UML to announce Presidential candidate on Feb 25

KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML said it will announce the name of the party’s candidate for the country’s President on February 25.

UML Chairman KP Oli said his party would announce the name of the Presidential candidate on February 25.

It should be noted that UML Chairman Oli had, on Sunday, expressed his confidence that the Maoist Center would support UML’s candidate.

He also said that the current ruling coalition will not be affected even though the parties failed to forge a consensus on the issue of President.

Oli, however, reiterated his claim that the presidential election will be held on the basis of political consensus.
