NC Shekhar-Gagan faction meeting vows to ensure adherence to annual schedule

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala and  General Secretary Gagan Thapa faction has made the decision to ensure strict adherence to the annual schedule of party activities as presented in the Central Committee meeting.

During a meeting of leaders affiliated with the Shekhar-Gagan faction of the party held in Baluwatar on Tuesday, it was concluded that the party should operate in accordance with the annual schedule.

“The party has been progressing in line with the action plan and schedule. It’s crucial to review the schedule and ensure its uninterrupted continuation,” stated central member Dilendra Prasad Badu when announcing the meeting’s decision.

He further revealed that the meeting also discussed potential agendas for the upcoming Central Committee meeting scheduled for Thursday.

Responding to inquiries about the absence of General Secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma and leader Pradeep Paudel from the meeting, Badu clarified that all the invited leaders had attended. However, despite the invitations extended to them, Sharma and Poudel chose not to participate.

Badu also noted that although there had been concerns regarding the government’s performance, the meeting was not the appropriate forum for such discussions, and this topic was not addressed during the gathering.
