Socialist Front Nepal: Parties to work separately, Secretariat to handle the Front

Top leaders of the four left-inclined parties in Socialist Front Nepal, announced on Monday, have agreed to run the Front through turn-wise leadership. Reading the agreement, Janata Samajbadi party leader Rajendra Shrestha said that the top leaders will take turns leading the Front.

Two arrested in Fake Bhutanese Refugee Case transferred to Money Laundering Department

Following their arrest in the Fake Bhutanese Refugee case, two individuals have been transferred to the Money Laundering Department for further investigation. On Friday, Judge Prem Prasad Neupane of the Kathmandu District Court granted bail to two out of the 18 individuals arrested in connection with this case. Tanka Kumar Gurung was required to submit a bond of Rs 10 lakh, while Lakshmi Maharjan had to post Rs 5 lakh.

Father and son killed in a landslide in Taplejung

A father and his son were killed in a landslide at Mehele of Sidingwa rural municipality of Taplejung district today. Suresh Rai, 36, died in the landslide while his 67-year-old father Keshav Bahadur Rai, who had gone missing since the disaster occurred this morning, was found dead later, according to the District Police Office, Taplejung.

The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) barred the screening of Hindi films including Adipurush in the cinema halls within the KMC today (Monday).
