On the occasion, reminding the relations between Nepal and the UK, Minister Shrestha viewed that the British Gurkhas should be treated equally as their British counterparts, said the minister’s press coordinator Kamal Giri. He also sought ‘special’ assistances from Sharma in this regard.

He also expected the British government to provide help to Nepal in the context when the country is upgrading from a least developed country, and to continue their facilities to Nepal in the days to come.

Praising the country for their role on the issue of climate change, he said, “Climate change has its impacts much in the least developed and developing countries like Nepal. Nepal wishes the UK has an effective role in this regard.”
