NC to give of vote of confidence to PM Dahal and join govt

Nepali Congress to sit on the ruling party bench in Parliament from today



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to join the Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda-led government.

A meeting of the party held on Sunday morning decided to give a vote of confidence to Prime Minister Dahal.

NC General Secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma said that the party’s Central Execution Committee meeting today decided to give the vote of confidence to Prime Minister Dahal.

Prime Minister Dahal is preparing to seek a vote of confidence in the House of Representatives on Monday.

“We have decided to instruct the parliamentary party meeting to give a vote of confidence to the Prime Minister,” said Sharma, adding that the party will then join the Dahal-led government.

Meanwhile, it has also decided to nominate ministers in all provinces and send them to the government according to the principle of inclusiveness.

NC has 89 MPs in the House of Representatives.

Meanwhile, the party has also decided to sit on the ruling party bench from today.
