Octogenarian dies of burnt in Gulmi



GULMI: An 84-year-old woman has died after being burnt in the Isma-1,  Gulmi.

According to Gulmi’s Chief District Officer Sagarmani Pathak, 84-year-old Pavitra Khatri of Isma Rural Municipality-1 Hastichour was burnt to death in the fire.

Khatri was seriously injured on Saturday when fire caught her dress while cooking.

According to Chief District Officer Pathak, Khatri died while being taken to Palpa for treatment.

Two youths injured

Two youths from Kaligandaki Rural Municipality-7, Bhurtung were also injured in the fire.

Chief District Officer Pathak informed that 18-year-old Namu Bharati and 16-year-old Suman Bharati, who went to extinguish the fire in the nearby forest, were seriously injured and are being treated at Kirtipur Hospital in Kathmandu.

Pathak informed that he is coordinating with the hospital and municipality to facilitate the treatment.
