Nepal sees five new coronavirus cases in 24 hours, active cases 36



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of five new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Thursday.

All the confirmed five cases were detected through the RT-PCR method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 1,159 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Out of those cases, 464 were tested through RT-PCR method and 695 through Antigen method.

Currently, there are 36 active cases in the country as one infected patient recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus-related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll stands at 12,020 to date.
