KATHMANDU: The election for the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) will be held on Saturday, January 21.
Senior member of the HoR, Pashupati Shumsher Rana on Thursday said that the House of Representatives will meet at 1 pm on Saturday to elect the Deputy Speaker.
The HoR meeting held on Thursday elected CPN-UML lawmaker Devraj Ghimire as the Speaker.
Nepali Congress’ candidate Ishwari Neupane could not be elected.
The political parties are yet to decide the names of the Deputy Speaker.
