Maoist Center issues whip to vote for Speaker candidate Ghimire

KATHMANDU: The ruling Maoist Center has issued a whip to its lawmakers to vote for the party’s candidate for the post of Speaker, Devraj Ghimire.

Chief Whip Hitraj Pandey said that the whip has been issued to vote for Ghimire, the candidate of the ruling coalition.

“According to the Prime Minister’s determination to abide by the agreement with the ruling alliance, the party has issued a whip to vote for the alliance’s candidate, Ghimire,” said Pandey.

The Maoist Center has 32 MPs in the House of Representatives. Among them, Barshaman Pun is in the hospital.
