KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has issued a whip to its lawmakers to vote for the party’s candidate for the post of Speaker, Ishwari Devi Neupane.
NC Chief Whip Ramesh Lekhak has issued a whip to the MPs of the party to be present, not remain neutral and to vote for the proposal to elect Neupane as the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
The proposal on the election of the Speaker is scheduled to be tabled, in accordance with Article 91 of the Constitution and House of Representatives Regulations, 2075, at the meeting of the House of Representatives to be held at 11:00 am today (Thursday).
