KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML, the main opposition party, is holding what it called a “crucial’ meeting today afternoon to discuss contemporary politics, among other issues.
The meeting to be held at the party’s central office in Chyasal is expected to discuss various issues, including the current political scenario, and social issues, among others, party sources said.
The meeting will see the participation of party office bearers, and central members, among others.
Bishnu Rijal, the party’s central member, said that the meeting has been summoned to deliberate on contemporary political issues and to make preparations for the Rastriya Yuwa Sangh’s (National Youth Association) planned demonstration scheduled for November 23 in Kathmandu.
Party Chairman KP Oli is slated to address the mass meeting gathering.
The Rastriya Yuwa Sangh, the party’s youth organization, is organizing a mass demonstration in Kathmandu on November 23, highlighting concerns such as corruption, soaring prices, irregularities, and the perceived anarchy of the state.
