KATHMANDU: Nepal has chosen to field first in the tri-nation T20 series’ opening game against UAE today.
Captain Rohit Paudel decided to bowl first after winning the toss at the Mulpani Cricket Ground.
Nepal is playing T20 cricket against UAE for the first time at home.
Out of the previous 5 matches, UAE won 3 matches and Nepal won 2 matches.
Nepal, UAE, and Hong Kong are going to play a series in preparation for the upcoming T20 World Cup qualifiers. Nepal’s second match will be against Hong Kong on October 20.
In today’s match under the captaincy of Rohit Paudel, Aashif Sheikh, Kushal Bhurtel, Kushal Malla, Dipendra Singh Airee, Sandeep Zora, Gulsan Jha, Sompal Kami, Karan KC, Pratish JC, Lalit Rajvanshi, Avinash Bohora, Vivek Yadav, Sagar Dhakal, Binod Bhandari, Lokesh Bam, Surya Tamang and Shyam (Mausam) Dhakal are representing Nepal.
All the matches of the league stage of the series will be played at Mulpani Cricket Ground and the final match will be played at the TU Cricket Ground, Kirtipur.
