PM Dahal announces Rs 500 million to Mustang for climate change mitigation
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has pledged nearly Rs 500 million to be allocated to Mustang district for averting the perils caused by climate change. During his speech at a program in Mustang today, the Prime Minister stated, “Approximately 500 million has been secured from an international organization, of which Rs 50 million will be designated to aid Mustang.”
UN Day marked with march past
The Nepali Army organized a march past of five kilometer distance on the occasion of the United Nations establishment day (UN Day). The march past that began from the NA headquarters ground went through the Martyr’s Gate, army pavilion, old bus park, Bhadrakali, Tripureswor and Maitighar before it concluded at the NA headquarters.

Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” highlighted the global nature of the climate change crisis, emphasizing the need for collective action. During a climate dialogue in Mustang on Wednesday, he underscored the importance of concerted efforts to mitigate the rise in global temperatures.
18 Nepalis arrived in India from Israel (photo)
18 Nepalis rescued by the government from conflict-torn Israel in the second phase arrived in India this morning. The Indian government brought 18 Nepalis along with its citizens from Israel to India through its plane. Nepali Ambassador to Nepal Dr. Shanker Sharma informed that transportation arrangements have been made to bring them from Delhi to Nepal.
Gold price up by Rs 1,300 per tola today
Gold price decreased by Rs 1,300 per tola in the domestic market today. According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of fine gold has been set at Rs. 113,200 per tola, while standard gold is being traded at Rs. 112,650 per tola. The precious yellow metal was valued at Rs. 111,900 per tola, and standard gold at Rs. 111,350 per tola on Tuesday.
Energy Minister directs NEA to ensure uninterrupted power supply during festivities
Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Shakti Bahadur Basnet has directed Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) to ensure regular power supply during the festivals as Dashain, Tihar, Nepal Sambat, Chhath and others so that their celebration would not be hampered.
